Here is a quick update from us. It has been a busy couple of months for us. Here is a bit what has been happening. You will hear more from us in a few weeks.
The start of our busyness began when Naomi Grace was born. Naomi arrived on Sunday afternoon, March 15. She weighed in at 3560 grams (between 7.5 and 8 ibs.) Thankfully her birth was quick and uneventful.
Anika is a proud big sister. She quickly announces when Naomi is crying, and then assumes she wants to eat. We are thankful she has adjusted well to being a big sister.
The last couple of month we have had several visitors. Bird’s sister and parents, Mike’s sister and brother-in-law, our boss from Eastern Mennonite Missions, and friends from Bemidji. It has been fun to reconnect with everyone. It has been a busy time, but also refreshing sharing with family and friends
The next three weeks:
On Saturday our family will be heading in opposite directions. Mike will be traveling to Albania. Bird, Anika and Naomi to the States.
Mike is going to Albania with the discipleship group from our church. There will be five young adults and two leaders. They are driving, and then spending three weeks in three different locations. They will be teaching English, leading a teen faith course and doing something similar to a VBS. They will also be staying in host families. Please pray for these weeks.
Bird, Anika and Naomi will in the States for three weeks. We did not want to be here alone when “papa’ is gone, We are thankful to be able to see family and friends again. Again, please pray.
Please pray for:
· Mike and the team in Albania. Pray for safety, the vehicle to run well, language barriers, host families and unity in the team.
· Bird, Anika and Naomi in the States. Pray for safe flights, jet lag, and a good time with friends and family.
Please pray that we won’t miss each other too much. And that we are safely back together on June 20.
